O-D School Board Updates Policies on Communication Devices, Social Media, Board of Finance

The Oregon-Davis School Corporation is updating its policies when it comes to employees’ use of communication devices and social media. A number of updates recommended by policy consultant NEOLA were approved by the school board Monday, according to Superintendent Dr. Don Harman.

He adds that another policy has to do with new requirements for the annual board of finance meeting. “The superintendent must assess the financial conditions of the corporation using the fiscal and qualitative indicators determined under specific I.C. codes,” Harman explains. “We did that in January, but that was just one of those.”

Most local school corporations have been making similar policy updates, to stay up to date with state and federal requirements.
