The Starke County Commissioners reviewed a quote to purchase a new furnace.
Maintenance Director Jim Coad informed the commissioners last year that an air conditioning went out, but since it was at the end of the season they didn’t have to worry about immediate repairs.
Now it is time to make those repairs. An assessment of the equipment was done and it was suggested that an aging furnace be replaced to head off costly repairs.
A quote was obtained from Jackson Refrigeration Heating and Air Conditioning for a new furnace in the amount of $6,288 which was unanimously approved.
