COVID-19 Responsible for 17 Hoosier Deaths

Officials from the Indiana Department of Health said Thursday that 17 Hoosiers have died as a result of COVID-19.

One death was reported in Jasper County, one in Allen County, one in Delaware County, one in Franklin County, one in Hancock County, one in Howard County, three in Johnson County, six in Marion County, one in Putnam County, and one in Scott County,

There were 170 newly diagnosed cases of COVID-19 announced Thursday which brings the total to 645. 

A total of 4,651 tests have been reported to the Indiana State Department of Health, 1,300 more than what was reported on Wednesday. 

Johnson and Lake Counties reported 12 new cases apiece while Marion County reported 67. There is one positive COVID-19 case in Starke County, one in Marshall County, two in La Porte County, five in Porter County, and 21 in St. Joseph County.  No positive cases have been reported in Pulaski County or Fulton County.
