The Eastern Pulaski School Board took action Wednesday to allow support staff to get paid while regular classes are canceled.
Board members passed a resolution authorizing the superintendent to adjust pay, benefit, and leave policies to help employees who might experience financial hardship from the COVID-19 pandemic, according to draft minutes from Wednesday’s special session. Another resolution gives school leaders the authority to take any necessary actions “to ensure the safety and well-being” of the school community through the end of the current term.
Most school boards are approving similar measures.
