The latest round of Hamlet’s 50/50 sidewalk replacement program has generated interest from two property owners. Applications were due last week.
Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Pitts says that two contractors, Covenant Concrete and Bancroft, will now look at the properties and give cost estimates. If the property owners decide to proceed with the work, the town will spilt the cost with them.
Pitts also says the Hamlet Town Council has decided to move the next regular zoning board and council meetings back a day to Thursday, March 12, starting at 6:30 p.m.
