A traffic control flagger who was killed on the job last summer is being memorialized with a philanthropic effort. The Ben Fisher Memorial Fund was established in December by Tracey and Brian Triska, the owners of Traffic Control Specialists. The Northern Indiana Community Foundation says the fund will support causes Fisher cared about, such as caring for veterans and women who’ve experienced domestic abuse.
The Traffic Control Specialists employee and former Plymouth mayoral candidate was killed last July when police say he was hit by a pickup truck while removing construction signs on State Road 13 in Kosciusko County. Donations to the Ben Fisher Memorial Fund can be made online at nicf.org.
