The Starke County Commissioners are expected to get updates on projects and work done at the Starke County Highway Department and the Starke County EMS Department.
Starke County Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler is still attempting to find a solution to fix a failed culvert on County Road 700 East north of County Road 600 North. He told the commissioners that he may provide an update to them at this meeting after gathering more information on a modular bridge.
Starke County EMS continues to tout the addition of the transfer unit at Starke Hospital. The Mobile Response Team has also been active in assisting overdose victims in getting the help they need for rehabilitation. Director Travis Clary will fill in the commissioners tonight.
Circuit Court Clerk Bernadette Welter Manuel is asking for a full-time position in her office. Auditor Rachel Oesterreich will have regular reports for the commissioners to review.
The Starke County Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. CT tonight in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex Building No. 1 at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
