North Judson Council Approves Change Order for Sewer Project Paving Work

The North Judson Town Council has finalized a financial adjustment for the town’s wastewater project. Initially, there was money in the project budget to cover road patching on Franklin and Main streets once sewer work wraps up there, but town officials have since decided to do the work separately.

That will allow more extensive paving work to be done, and 75 percent of the cost could be covered by a Community Crossings grant by the state. The town’s share is expected to be about $49,000, but the change would free up almost $124,000 in the wastewater project budget for contingencies.

Council members completed the next step in the process Monday by approving a change order, officially adding the $123,963 that had been budgeted for paving to the project’s contingency budget. The town council also approved several payment applications related to the project.
