Pulaski County Courts Adjust Operations in Response to Coronavirus

Pulaski County courts are adjusting their operations amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Indiana Supreme Court has granted Pulaski Circuit and Superior courts emergency relief, under Administrative Rule 17. As part of that order, no jury trials will be held in Pulaski County until after May 4.

Anyone who’s gotten a jury summons should call the court for instructions. Meanwhile, those who are scheduled to come to court for a criminal hearing, problem-solving court matter, or civil matter before April 6 are asked to contact their attorney, if they haven’t already gotten notice in the mail. Individuals scheduled to appear for a juvenile or Child in Need of Services matter before April 17 should also contact their attorney or Circuit Court. Anyone who’s sick or has been exposed to COVID-19 should call their attorney or the court as soon as possible and prior to the scheduled hearing date.

While Pulaski County government buildings will be closed to the public starting Monday, court staff will still be available to take phone calls and handle e-filing. Essential hearings for jail inmates will continue, since video conferencing ability has been put in place in both courts.
