Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Mary Welker and Pulaski County Superior Court Judge Crystal Kocher announced that the courts will conduct only essential hearings until further notice.
Those scheduled for court will be notified if there is no need to appear as ordered. The courts will notify attorneys and defendants and the media if that changes.
The judges say family members and friends should stay home or remain outside of the Pulaski County Courthouse or Pulaski County Justice Center during the hearings.
Attorneys may file a motion to continue if a defendant is sick. Those without attorneys can contact the court and request a continuance.
The judges encourage proper hand washing and other proper hygiene if attendance at a hearing is necessary. Take a pen to fill out paperwork and use hand sanitizer at all times.
Judge Welker and Judge Kocher appreciate everyone’s effort to keep everyone safe.
