Pulaski County Public Health Officer Dr. Rex Allman announced Tuesday that the Pulaski County Health Department recommends a two-week self-isolation if residents return to Pulaski County from travel outside of the state.
Dr. Allman stated that while residents are outside of the state during Spring Break some may travel to areas that are seeing a more significant impact from the COVID-19 pandemic. In a press release issued Tuesday, Dr. Allman stated that it is highly likely that the Pulaski County travelers could import the virus upon return to Pulaski County. This should also apply to those doing business outside of the state.
He asks that health be monitored carefully upon return to Pulaski County.
Dr. Allman stated that there are no positive COVID-19 cases to date in Pulaski County. He would like to see the continuance of social distancing and good hygiene. He encourages washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer frequently.
