The Starke County Community Foundation has launched an emergency relief fund. Any donations will be used to address community needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as situations that may arise from it, according to a press release from the Northern Indiana Community Foundation. All of the funds raised will be used locally.
Donations can be made online at nicf.org or by mailing a check to the NICF at P.O. Box 807, Rochester, IN 46975. The Northern Indiana Community Foundation has set up a similar fund at the Fulton County Community Foundation, while the Miami County Community Foundation is working with the United Way of Miami County on a food relief effort. Checks should specify which county relief fund the donor would like to benefit.
