The polling sites typically used in an election in Starke County will be combined for in-person voting in the Primary Election on June 2.
The Starke County Election Board previously decided to combine polling locations in an effort to reduce the number of sites due to precautions brought on by COVID-19. The option was given to counties for the delayed Primary Election.
Starke County Clerk Bernadette Manuel stressed that the polling sites will be precinct specific and voters will need to go to their specific location to vote. Since the Vote Center Plan was not passed, the polling site method is still in use.
California 1, California 2 and North Bend Township voters will cast an in-person ballot at the California Township Bass Lake Fire Department.

Oregon 2 and Oregon 3 Township voters will vote at the Koontz Lake Property Owners Association Building.

Manuel said efforts will be made to disinfect every voting machine following every voter’s use. With all rules relaxed concerning a reason to vote absentee, Manuel encourages absentee voting by mail if voters are uncomfortable voting at a polling site.
