In response to the public health emergencies concerning COVID-19, Starke County Prosecutor Leslie Baker has decided to close the Prosecutor’s Office to the public until the end of March.
During this time, employees of the Prosecutor’s Office will be in the office during business hours, but will be responding to members of the public by telephone and email. Any in-person meeting or appointment will be rescheduled to a date after Wednesday, April 1.
The employees will attend any scheduled court appearances.
The situation will be reassessed by Prosecutor Baker using the most current information from health care experts and those in the infectious disease profession.
Baker noted that this is a responsible and proactive response to the spread of COVID-19 in an effort to protect the staff and the public.
