Starke County Public Library Locations Closed through April 14

The Starke County Public Library System will remain closed at least until April 14. The decision was approved by the library board Friday, according to Library Director Kathleen Bowman. Board members plan to reevaluate the situation during their regularly scheduled meeting on April 14.

Those who currently have library materials are asked not to return them yet. Due dates have been extended until April 27, and no late fees will be given during the closure. Evergreen Indiana cards that were set to expire have been extended through the end of April.

In the meantime, library officials remind patrons that they can find e-Books, audio books, magazines, and streaming video on the library’s online databases. While the library buildings are closed, residents can still access WiFi service from the parking lots at all four Starke County Public Library locations.
