All Starke County Schools will be closed beginning Monday, March 16 until further notice.
In a press release submitted by Starke County Public School officials, input provided by county health officials prompted the closure to ensure the safety of students, staff members and the general public.
School is closed at all locations Monday, March 16. However, administrators and teachers will meet on Monday, March 16. ELearning will not be scheduled.
Following that, the individual corporations will determine which days will be utilized as eLearning Days. Governor Eric Holcomb is allowing school corporations to use 20 waived days as the COVID-19 concern looms.
In addition, all extra-curricular school activities are canceled through Friday, April 10. Those activities may include practices, games, performances, and other contests.
