An additional 394 Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 between Sunday and Wednesday, according to the latest report from the Indiana State Department of Health. However, officials say they are still experiencing a technology issue which doesn’t reflect all of the new cases and new tests.
To date, the total number of Indiana residents known to have COVID-19 is 12,438.
In Wednesday’s report, 31 new deaths were recorded that occurred between April 2 and April 21. A total of 661 Hoosiers have died as a result of the novel coronavirus.
The Indiana State Department of Health has received 69,470 reports of COVID-19 tests.
Marshall County has 26 positive COVID-19 cases and one death out of 318 tests, Starke County has 11 cases and one death out of 139 tests while Pulaski County has one reported positive case out of 104 tests. La Porte County has 144 positive COVID-19 cases and five deaths out of 933 tests.
The Westville Correctional Facility reported another five cases on Tuesday which brings the number of COVID-19 positive cases to 128, which is over half of the total number of cases in the state Department of Corrections prison system.
