Pulaski County Commission President Kenny Becker made the decision Thursday to extend the Temporary Work Force Reduction Policy until April 20 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The original order went into effect on March 16.
The order allows all essential departments to function with a full staff. Those departments include the Pulaski County Health Department, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, Pulaski County EMS, and Pulaski County Emergency Management Agency. All other government offices are operating with a reduced staff to control the spread of COVID-19.
The government facilities remain closed to the public, but an in-person meeting with officials can be coordinated by appointment only. When participating in an in-person meeting, residents and employees are asked to maintain a social distance and follow all protocols as issued by the Pulaski County Health Department.
All employees will be compensated during the workforce reduction.
