Starke County Commissioners Declare Public Health Disaster Emergency

The Starke County Commissioners adopted a declaration of a Public Health Disaster Emergency Tuesday afternoon.

The resolution directs all Starke County government leaders, agencies, boards and staff to members to cooperate with the Indiana State Department of Health, the State of Indiana, and other local governments to address efforts directed toward the response to COVID-19. All orders and directives authorized by Governor Eric Holcomb will be followed.

The county will be eligible to seek financial reimbursement, funding assistance, supplies and other assistance due to the health emergency.

All local disaster emergency plans are now activated along with aid and assistance under the plans.
