Governor Holcomb Updates Executive Order

Governor Eric Holcomb issued an Executive Order on Friday that aids in the recruitment of poll workers for the June 2 Primary Election.

According to Executive Order 20-27,  residents who are receiving unemployment compensation benefits and who receive a stipend for working as a poll worker in the June 2 Primary Election will not have any unemployment benefit reduced by payment of the stipend.

In addition, the Executive Order states that deadlines for renewal of Driver’s Licenses or identification cards will be extended to June 4.  Vehicle registration renewals, title transactions, salvage titles, and off-road vehicle and snowmobile titles are also extended to June 4 with no consequence of a late fee.

Occupational, professional, and firearms licenses held by Indiana residents set to expire during the COVID-19 public health emergency will be automatically extended to June 4.  Also, in an effort to allow health care providers quicker access to COVID-19 test results for patients, Indiana code is waived to allow the Indiana Health Information Exchange, Inc to receive that information in the Indiana Network for Patient are database from the Indiana State Department of Health.
