The ban on utility shutoffs will soon be extended to July 1. It’s one of a few extensions Governor Eric Holcomb says he plans to make in an executive order Thursday.
“We’re extending the prohibition on turning off utilities, number one,” Holcomb said during his COVID-19 press conference Wednesday. “Number two, we’re extending the prohibition on filing mortgage foreclosures or evictions. And we’re also waiving late penalties for certain BMV transactions.”
That includes extending the deadlines to renew driver’s licenses and vehicle registrations until July 1.
