Marshall and Pulaski counties are reporting more cases of COVID-19. Marshall County has now had 30 residents test positive with one death, according to Friday’s report from the Indiana State Department of Health. Pulaski County is up to 25 positive cases. Starke County remains at 16 cases and one death.
Statewide, the number of COVID-19 cases is now at 18,630, out of almost 100,000 Hoosiers tested. The number of confirmed deaths in Indiana is 1,062. Another 113 deaths are believed to be related to COVID-19, but have no positive test on record.
Fifty new cases were reported in Cass County, the site of an outbreak at a Logansport meatpacking plant.
The Westville Correctional Facility has had 154 offenders test positive for COVID-19, according to the Indiana Department of Correction’s website. Three of them have died, while 144 have recovered. Forty-six staff members at Westville have also tested positive.
COVID-19 cases have now been reported in almost 150 of the state’s long-term care facilities.
