The number of positive Marshall County COVID-19 cases is now up to 80, which is an increase of six from Tuesday’s report from the Indiana State Department of Health. Pulaski County reported an additional positive case which inched that total to 40. Starke County remains at 31 cases. The numbers are reflective of the total number of cases recorded beginning in March.
In its Wednesday report, the Indiana State Department of Health said 370 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from April 10 to May 26. The overall total is now 32,437.
According to the estimated statewide recovery metric determined by officials from the Regenstrief Institute, about 33 percent, or 10,519 COVID-19 patients are actively fighting the virus, while 62 percent, or 19,916 individuals have recovered. Six percent, or 1,871 COVID-19 patients have died.
Twenty-one new deaths were recorded from April 15 to May 26 for an overall total of 1,871.
Out of the 235,333 tests conducted for the coronavirus, only 13.8 percent of those have returned with a positive result.
