West Central School Superintendent Dan Zylstra, Middle/High School Principal Scott Ritchie and Elementary School Principal Mike Carlson have been impressed with how the teachers and students have adapted to instruction during this uncertain time.
Zylstra recently told the West Central School Board that the staff has been working to make sure students are receiving meals. Meals are being delivered by bus to the students. If students need certain materials in order to complete school work, the bus drivers send those materials to them as well.
According to the draft minutes of the meeting, the principals highlighted the efforts of the teachers in following curriculum and the process of assembling packets for students. Carlson noted that attendance is slightly higher. He also said honor roll, AR and Presidential Awards are being done online on Monday, May 18 and teachers are sending home classroom awards. Pictures of those students with the awards are encouraged to be sent back to the school to be posted.
