A tentative graduation date has been set for seniors at West Central High School.
West Central School Superintendent Dan Zylstra said they set a date of June 21 at a time yet to be determined. Zylstra commented that they’re following all of the guidelines set forth in the governor’s back on track plan. In the outline, gatherings of about 250 can take place by mid-June. There are about 50 graduating seniors and if all of the seniors bring two people, everyone could be seated in the high school gym with proper social distancing.
Zylstra indicated that the ceremony could also be held on the football field, but that will be decided closer to the June 21 date as pieces all into place.
Zylstra stressed that June 21 is a tentative date and things may change with any updates on the state level.
