The Culver Town Council members reviewed requests submitted for the sidewalk replacement program.
The town reimburses residents at a rate of $2.75 per square foot for sidewalks, $14 per linear foot for curbs, and $26 per linear foot for curb/sidewalk combination.
Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim said seven applications were received. She added that once the town officially began accepting the applications on May 1, five applications were submitted in the first five minutes. The requests are considered in the order they are received and for as much as funding allows.
The council budgeted $12,000 for the program and the first two reimbursement amounts totaled $11,924.40. Heim explained that the council could approve the first two which would use up the budget, or accept the third application in line that was about $474 more. The council could find funds in the budget to accept the third request.
The council members unanimously approved a motion to approve the first three requests.
