Another Marshall County resident has died after testing positive for COVID-19. That brings the county’s total number of confirmed COVID-19-related deaths up to 13, according to Saturday’s update from the Indiana State Department of Health.
Another nine Marshall County residents have tested positive, bringing the total up to 645. The county continues to see a higher rate of tests coming back positive than the state as a whole, and almost 37 percent of Marshall County’s COVID-19 cases have been people under the age of 30.
Starke County had two new positive cases, bringing its total up to 130. No new cases were reported in Pulaski County.
The state as a whole reported 855 new cases, one of the highest single-day increases Indiana has seen since COVID-19 first arrived in the state. That brings the total number of Hoosiers who’ve tested positive up to 55,654. Another 17 Hoosiers have died, bringing the total to 2,627.
