Winamac officials are happy with the upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant but say the contractor still has more work to do. Town Manager Brad Zellers gave an update during the July 13 town council meeting.
“The new stuff is really working good,” Zellers noted. “The ammonia levels are nonexistent. I’m having a little issues with the contractor getting back here to finish some stuff. We still haven’t sent them their final check because I don’t feel they’re done.”
Specifically, Zellers cited an air line leak on one of the pipes, problems with a new blower, and a lot of unfinished dirt work.
