Starke County Council, Commissioners to Meet Tonight

The Starke County Council will consider several requests for additional appropriations when they meet tonight.

Starke County Sheriff Bill Dulin and the commissioners will request additional appropriations for projects and purchases.  The commissioners will also request additional funding for the renovation of the third floor of the Starke County Courthouse.  A request to fund an employee appreciation event will also be offered for discussion.

Recorder Mandy Thomason will present an ordinance for consideration and the council will discuss the quote process.

A representative from Mae Engineering will talk more about their operations after the council previously denied a CF-1 form from the company as it was deemed incomplete.

The Starke County Council members will meet at 5:30 p.m. CT tonight followed by a meeting of the Starke County Commissioners.

The commissioners will talk about a driveway permit ordinance, make an appointment to the Starke County Community Corrections Board, review a tree removal quote at the Starke County Annex No. 2 property, and discuss a performance review of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation.

Both meetings will be held in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex No. 1 Building at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
