Businesses Offer to Supply Bottled Water, Maintain Soccer Field at Oregon-Davis

The Oregon-Davis School Corporation is getting some help keeping students hydrated.

COVID-19 concerns mean that drinking fountains are no longer being used, but the bottle filling stations for the elementary school hadn’t arrived yet, as of last week, according to Superintendent Bill Bennett. “So Bellman Oil donated 48 cases of water to get us by until those water refill stations could be installed,” Bennett says. “And then we also had Lawrence Lawn & Landscape donate some of their services and time with working on our soccer field, aerating it, mowing it, it, lining it, patching it, all kinds of things to make sure our soccer field’s ready for play.”

Both of those donations were officially accepted by the school board last week.
