Motorists driving through Downtown LaPorte may encounter some lane closures Wednesday. INDOT says the left turn lanes from northbound U.S. 35 to westbound State Road 2 and from westbound State Road 2 to southbound U.S. 35 will be closed between 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Drivers will still be able to turn left from the next lane over, but INDOT says motorists should expect delays.
Next week, State Road 2 will have a lane closed between 1st and 4th streets from Monday through Friday for utility work, but traffic will be able to pass through.
