Starke County Election Board Sets Early Voting Hours

The Starke County Election Board members set early voting hours during their meeting Wednesday morning.

Voters may vote early in the second floor meeting room at the Starke County Courthouse weekdays beginning Tuesday, Oct. 6 to Friday, Oct. 30 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT.  Voters may also cast early ballots on Saturday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. to noon CT.

Two satellite locations will also be open for early voting.  The North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department will be open Thursday, Oct. 22 and Friday, Oct. 23 from noon to 6 p.m. CT and Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT.  The Koontz Lake Property Owners Building will be open for voters on Thursday, Oct. 29 and Friday, Oct. 30 from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT. 

Voters will need to present a valid photo ID to poll workers at the early voting sites in order to vote. 

Applications for absentee mail-in ballots are being accepted now until Oct. 22.  Ballots will not be sent out until Saturday, Sept. 19.
