The Starke County Election Board members approved a quote from Growmail this week put to together notices for voters about the county’s change to Vote Centers.
Clerk Bernadette Manuel stated that she will provide the company with the information and they will put it on a 6X9 mailer card that will be delivered to 11,060 Starke County homes. Vote Center information will be included as well as early voting hours and more.
The quote was for $3,627.87. It was the lowest of a few companies who submitted quotes.
It is the intent of the Election Board to notify voters of the changes of the procedure to vote by the November General Election. The notice will be sent out in late September.
The county is now a Vote Center county which means that Starke County voters can vote at any one of seven voting locations this November. Those locations include the Koontz Lake Property Owners Building, James R Hardesty Community Building in Hamlet, Washington Township Community Building, Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center in Knox, North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department, San Pierre Fire Department, and Bass Lake California Township Fire Department. Voters can vote at any of the Vote Centers as it is not precinct-specific.
