Bass Lake-California Township firefighters were on the scene of a house fire Wednesday evening at 5680 E. 650 S.
Fire Chief Steve Ahlenius told WKVI News that the fire ignited in the kitchen and believes it began with an electrical issue.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but firefighters stayed at the scene for several hours to control hot spots.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Starke County EMS assisted at the scene.
