Medaryville Nursery School is getting some help responding to COVID-19, thanks to the White County United Way Community Relief Fund. The nursery school recently got funding to help them increase distancing among children and potentially allow more children to enroll, according to a White County United Way press release.
Other Community Relief Fund recipients this month include the Wheatfield Fire Department and St. Augustine School in Rensselaer. The funding comes from a $400,000 COVID-19 Economic Relief Initiative Grant from Indiana United Ways with funding from the Lilly Endowment.
So far, the White County United Way has given out almost $63,000 of that to nonprofits in White, Pulaski, and Jasper counties. Applications for the next round of grants are due by October 10. Applications can be found at WhiteCountyUnitedWay.org/CommunityRelief.
