Small Increase in Local COVID-19 Cases

Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported locally in Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.

Marshall County had an increase of three cases to bring the overall total to 988, Starke County had two new cases to bring the county’s overall total to 253, and Pulaski County’s total case number remained at 114. 

The Indiana Department of Health reported 535 additional residents in the state who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 for a new overall total of 112,027. 

According to the Regenstrief Institute, 88,173 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the virus, 13,606 are actively fighting the virus, and 3,287 individuals have died from COVID-19.  Seven of those deaths were reported on Monday. 

To date, 1,308,645 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana.  A total of 1,882,248, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
