State Sees More Positive COVID-19 Cases

More positive COVID-19 cases were reported in Marshall, Starke and Pulaski Counties as well as 1,249 cases in the state, according to Sunday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.

Marshall County saw an increase of four new cases for a new cumulative total of 958, Starke County had an increase of four cases for a new cumulative total of 227 and Pulaski County also had an increase of four cases for a new overall total of 111.

Patients are in varying stages of fighting the virus and recovering from the virus.  Thirty people in Marshall, Starke and Pulaski Counties have died from COVID-19.  No new deaths have been reported in over a month. 

State health officials say multiple additional testing facilities have been put into the electronic reporting system. This onboarding resulted in the addition of 426 cases, 21,674 tested individuals and 29,980 tests administered to Sunday’s counts.

A total of 3,214 Indiana residents are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of one from the previous day.  Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.
