A Winamac truck repair business’s expansion plans recently cleared a procedural hurdle with the town council. Town Manager Brad Zellers told council members that Vander Haag’s planned to purchase the neighboring property to the south, to add onto the current facility. The town council approved the business’s request to rezone the parcel from residential to light industrial.
Council members also approved a request from the developer of the River Bluff Apartments on State Road 14. “He had recorded it as an addition,” Zellers explained. “The addition part never happened, so he wants to vacate that.”
Zellers said both of those requests had gotten a favorable recommendation from the Winamac Plan Commission.
