Firefighters were on the scene of a fire in downtown Knox Tuesday morning.
They were called just after 6:30 a.m. CT to a fire at 19½ N. Main Street where flames were seen coming from the roof of the building. The fire apparently started in the ceiling, but the cause of the fire is still unknown. The Indiana State Fire Marshal will continue the investigation.
Firefighters from the Knox-Center Township Fire Department, Hamlet-Davis Township Fire Department, North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department, and the Washington Township Fire Department responded to the scene.
