Firefighters from the North Judson-Wayne Township were on the scene of a house fire at 307 E. State Street in North Judson shortly after midnight Wednesday.
When they arrived at the scene they found a two-story home nearly fully engulfed, according to information posted on Facebook. Firefighters entered the structure at the rear of the home and quickly advanced to find the base of the fire. The flames were extinguished and they cleared the scene in less than two hours, but they returned shortly after 3:30 a.m. as it was found to be fully engulfed.
Fire Chief Joe Leszek stated that the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate the issue further.
No injuries were reported.
Fourteen firefighters answered the call to fight the fire, along with responders from Starke County EMS.
