The North Judson Police Department is looking to add a second K-9 to the force. The town council recently agreed to let Town Marshal Kelly Fisher start raising money.
“I’d like to get a second dog for night shift, so that every night shift has a dog on it,” Fisher told council members. “I feel that we could probably self-fund it through donations.”
Fisher said that Officer Keaton Leszek has agreed to serve as the K-9’s handler. The new dog is expected to cost at least $15,000. Fisher hopes to be able to get the new K-9 sometime next year.
