Indiana continues to break its single-day record for COVID-19 cases. Another 2,521 cases were added to the Indiana Department of Health’s count on Saturday.
That number does include a backlog of about 100 cases whose reporting was delayed by a technical issue, according to state health officials. That brings Indiana’s total case count to almost 146,000.
Locally, another 21 Marshall County residents have tested positive, for a new total of 1,282. Meanwhile, Starke and Pulaski counties reported record or near record single-day increases. Another 10 Starke County residents have tested positive bringing the total to 372, while Pulaski County had eight new cases for a total of 139.
Statewide, another 31 COVID-19 deaths were reported, bringing the total up to 3,685.
