Indiana is reminding poll workers to wear masks and use personal protective equipment. The state is providing poll workers with N95 masks, gloves, and disinfectant for voting equipment, among other supplies.
Pulaski County Clerk JoLynn Behny told the rest of the county election board Wednesday that it’s come to the attention of the Secretary of State’s Office that many counties haven’t actually been requiring their poll workers to use them. Now, she says the state is urging counties to make use of the PPE that’s been provided.
Behny stressed that any poll workers who don’t want to wear a mask or face shield for a 12-hour shift on Election Day will have to be replaced.
