Pulaski County Election Board to Pay More for IT Consultant in 2022

The Pulaski County Election Board is budgeting for a big election cycle in 2022. It isn’t a presidential election, but Clerk JoLynn Behny notes that many town and county offices are on the ballot. “The four district [county] council, we’ve got one commissioner, sheriff, prosecutor, assessor, clerk,” she told the rest of the county election board Monday.

No Major Changes to Pulaski County Election Results following Review of Provisional Ballots

The Pulaski County Election Board is finalizing this month’s election results. Clerk JoLynn Behny says the board has rejected all but two of the provisional ballots cast, since those individuals were not registered to vote in the county. The update won’t significantly change any of the results reported on Election Night. Behny says she’s working on sending the final numbers to the state.

Pulaski Council to Consider Tax Abatement for Confined Feeding Operation Tonight

The Pulaski County Council will take comments tonight on a tax abatement request for a confined feeding operation. Derrick and Abbie Stalbaum are seeking a property tax abatement for a facility they’re building on County Road 1050 West in Rich Grove Township. A public hearing will be held before council members make a final decision.

Pulaski County Election Board Preparing for Large Voter Turnout

Early voting turnout remains high in Pulaski County, and Clerk JoLynn Behny isn’t counting on that pace slowing down on Election Day. “I think they’re going to be slammed regardless of how many people come out to vote early,” she told the rest of the Pulaski County Election Board Wednesday. “I think they’re still going to be slammed. So we will mark six feet at each polling location. They’re going to get rolls of tape to mark the six feet social distancing. They’ve got signage.”
