Thousands of Starke, Pulaski County Residents Vote Early, Ahead of Tuesday’s Election

Early voting turnout remains strong in Starke and Pulaski counties. Absentee voting numbers have already far surpassed 2016 levels.

Starke County has had more than 3,550 residents vote in-person, as of Friday afternoon, and over 980 mail-in ballots had been received, according to the Clerk’s Office. In Pulaski County, in-person early voting was at 2,506 as of Saturday afternoon, according to Clerk JoLynn Behny, with wait times stretching up to an hour on Friday. She says 640 mail-in ballots had been returned, and about 11 residents had requested to vote by travel board.

Starke County voters can cast their ballots today from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the County Clerk’s Office in Knox and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Koontz Lake Property Owners Building. In Pulaski County, early voting continues today from 8:00 a.m. to noon EDT at the Pulaski County Justice Center in Winamac and the Francesville Fire Station. The Starke County Clerk’s Office and the Pulaski County Justice Center will be open for one final day of early voting on Monday from 8:00 a.m. to noon local time.

Election Day voting will take place Tuesday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at each county’s vote centers.
