Leaf pickup is ramping up in the City of Knox. Starting this week, Street Department crews are focusing on a particular precinct each day, according to Mayor Dennis Estok.
“The leaves are really falling fast, and they’re working their butts off right now,” Estok told the city council last week. “So Monday is Precinct 1, Tuesday Precinct 2, Wednesday is Precinct 3, and Thursday is Precinct 4.”
On Friday, crews will go back to any areas that were missed or need extra cleanup. A precinct map can be found below. If you’re unsure which precinct you’re in, call the Mayor’s Office at 574-772-4553 or the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office at 772-3032.
Meanwhile, North Judson Town Superintendent Joe Leszek told the town council Monday that crews would be picking up leaves there today, and this month’s brush pickup has been moved to Thursday, November 19.
