Two more Marshall County residents have died from COVID-19. That brings the county’s total number of COVID-19 deaths up to 44, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.
Almost 2,900 Marshall County residents have tested positive since the pandemic began, including 63 new cases reported Monday. Starke County had 22 new cases for a total of 892, and Pulaski County had four new cases, bringing the total up to 368.
More than 300,000 Hoosiers have now tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began, including over 5,600 new cases reported Monday. Another 27 Hoosiers have died, bringing the state’s total confirmed death count to 5,067. Indiana’s COVID-19 hospitalizations are once again at an all-time high, with 3,219 Hoosiers in the hospital, as of Sunday.
The Indiana Department of Health also updated the weekly school case count. Locally, Culver Academies has seen the most cases, with a total of 97 students, 12 staff members, and six teachers testing positive, with 28 of the student cases reported in the past week.
Plymouth High School has had a total of 36 student cases. Bremen High School’s had 15. LaVille Junior/Senior High School has had 14. Argos Junior/Senior High School has had 12, and John Glenn High School has had 10.
Knox, North Judson-San Pierre, and Oregon-Davis high schools have all had seven student cases, while West Central High School has had six.
