The Culver Town Council members approved the hire of two new officers at the Culver Police Department.
The Culver Police Department has been working on a shortage of officers for several months after two left the department earlier this year.
Culver Town Marshal Wayne Bean recommended the hire of Devin Watkins and Nicholas Fobert. They will need to attend training at the Indiana Police Academy and will be gone for a few months to complete that training.
The hire of the officers were approved with a unanimous vote.
