West Central School Board Holds Public Hearing on Master Teacher Contract

The West Central School Board members held a public hearing Thursday night concerning the terms in the Master Teacher Contract.

Superintendent Dan Zylstra said there were no public comments on the contract.

“We’re pretty happy with the contract,” commented Zylstra.  “We were able to work with the Teacher’s Association.  It will be a raise for all teachers as well as a stipend and then we are moving up the base pay for everyone in the district as well.  It does a lot for our newer teachers so hopefully we can remain competitive.”

The West Central School Board will meet again on Thursday, November 12 in order to approve the contract.
