Knox City Court Operates under COVID-19 Operating Restrictions

Knox City Hall is closed to the public, but Knox City Court will continue to operate under certain COVID-19 restrictions.

Starke County is coded red in the state’s County Metrics map that shows a high community spread of COVID-19.  In order to help slow the spread of COVID-19, Knox City Court has certain procedures to follow.

Knox City Court Judge Charles Hasnerl says court will be fully staffed in order to process payments and documents in a timely manner.

If a court hearing is scheduled, a member of the court staff will greet people at the door and provide instructions and other protocol information.  Only one person is allowed inside, but certain exceptions may be considered.

To speak to court staff outside of a hearing, call 574-772-3766 and leave a voicemail if there is no answer.  Be sure to leave a name, phone number and the nature of the call.  Communication may also be done by email at court@cityofknox.net.
